The university community today mourns the passing of Dr. Roy Lee Aldridge, professor of physical therapy, and extends sympathy to his family, friends and associates in the College of Nursing and Health Professions and across campus.
One of Roy's final visits to A-State was Monday evening, when he was able to witness the lighting of the Dean B. Ellis Library tower blue as a tribute to his outstanding career at A-State, and his dedication to the university and his students. The color, for colorectal cancer awareness, was his request,
The Faculty Association Historical Committee and Executive Committee have designated Roy as one of A-State's Distinguished Faculty, with his name to be added to a plaque on the recognition wall in the Reng Student Union. Roy joined the A-State faculty in 2000.
